PHOTOS: 2026 CCFOI awards

About 125 journalists and open government advocates gathered at Farmington Gardens on June 10 for the first joint CT Journalism and Open Government Awards Dinner.

The event was co-hosted by the Connecticut pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information. All photos by Mary Quinn Martin.

CCFOI issued the following awards:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Colleen Murphy, retired executive director of the Connecticut FOI Commission
  • Stephen A. Collins Award: Katherine Revello, reporter at Inside Investigator
  • Bice Clemow Award: Sean Scanlon, Connecticut comptroller
  • Champions of Open Government Awards: State Rep. Roland Lemar and State Sen. Heather Somers
