Records request for Greenwich parking permit holders causes ‘alarm,’ calls for change to state law — Greenwich Time

GREENWICH — A public records request made over the summer has triggered concern from some Greenwich residents and spurred town leaders to think about reforming how future requests will be handled.

The request was for everyone that holds a parking permit in town back in July, specifically their names, email addresses and hometowns.

Under Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act, Greenwich had to release the information after a $26 fee.
