The meeting was at Wood-n-Tap, 99 Sisson Ave., Hartford.
Present: Chris Powell, Jeff Daniels, Liz Gemski, Michele Jacklin, George Lombardi, Mike Savino, Mary Connolly, Colleen Murphy, Paula Pearlman.
The minutes of the Jan. 23, 2019 meeting were accepted.
President’s report: Savino reported on a conversation with Kevin Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. Dillon wanted to discuss legislation to extend the powers of the authority over the release of information it considers a homeland security issue. This is a subject that has been discussed before with various government agencies.
Treasurer’s report: Lombardi reported a balance of $5,721.10.
Legislative report: Daniels, Jacklin and Gemski discussed pending legislation. The secretary of the state is returning to the issue of privacy and voter lists. There also was discussion of an effort to expunge criminal records for certain crimes because of the impact when seeking employment.
Looking ahead: The next CCFOI meeting will be March 20 at noon at Wood-n-Tap.
