Michele Jacklin

 Michele Jacklin has had a distinguished career as a communications specialist and public policy analyst, working primarily at The Hartford Courant and in the Communications Department of Trinity College.

During her 28 years as a reporter, editorial writer and political columnist at The Courant, Jacklin helped chronicle the political and legislative history of Connecticut. In addition to covering state and local government, political campaigns and public policy, Jacklin attended seven presidential nominating conventions.

She’s received numerous accolades, among them the Allan B. Rogers Editorial Award from the New England Newspaper Association and a Media Excellence Award from the National Foundation for Women Legislators.

The owner of MJ Communications, Jacklin has served as a consultant to the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities and Connecticut Voices for Children. Jacklin is co-president of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information and is a member of the boards of the Connecticut Foundation for Open Government and the Connecticut Medical Examining Board.
