David DesRoches

David DesRoches is an adjunct journalism professor at Quinnipiac University, where he is also the director of community programming, overseeing a network of podcasts.

His podcast, Baffled with David DesRoches, was a finalist for a 2022 People’s Choice Podcast Award in the News & Politics category.

As a journalist with 15-plus years of experience reporting for NPR, Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting, the Sundance Institute, and other outlets, he has reported extensively on disability rights, social justice, algorithmic decision-making, and environmental issues.

He has twice been named New England’s “Reporter of the Year” and was included in Connecticut Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list in 2015.

He’s also a vice president for the Connecticut Foundation for Open Government, a board member of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information, a member of the Weaver Journalism & Media Pathway Advisory Board, a member of the Connecticut General Assembly’s AI Working Group, and a frequent contributor to panels and discussions on journalism, technology and disabilities.
